Channel Islands Cruise

The Channel Islands Cruise is a classic seven day offshore sailing adventure from Hamble Point Marina, combining exciting cross-Channel passages, strong tidal pilotage and the unique character of the Channel Islands. Ideal for sailors looking to build confidence offshore, the cruise provides valuable mileage and practical experience in one of the most rewarding cruising areas in Northern Europe.

Under the guidance of experienced BOSS instructors, crew members take an active part in all aspects of the voyage including passage planning, navigation, watch keeping and yacht handling. The crossing to the Channel Islands offers an excellent opportunity to practise coastal and offshore navigation, while the strong tidal streams around Alderney Race and the Swinge provide rewarding pilotage experience.

The itinerary typically includes visits to Alderney, Guernsey, Herm and Sark, together with time to explore ashore and enjoy the atmosphere of the islands. The cruise combines longer offshore passages with more relaxed inshore sailing and harbour stops, creating a varied and enjoyable week aboard a modern cruising yacht.

This cruise is ideal for competent crew and aspiring skippers who want to gain meaningful sea miles, improve offshore confidence and experience real passage making in tidal waters.
